Grounded!!!

Bee is grounded.

No joke. He might not see the light of day tomorrow.

I made homemade cinnamon rolls today for Chris. He has long days at work this week and needs something fast and will fill him up. Cinnamon rolls do the job!

Anyway, I cleared the counter, cleaned it, then floured it. Then took off my wedding ring and Mom ring, and started kneading the dough. I had to work it for 5 mintues so I got lost in my own mind of quilts and projects and chores I had to do. (Chris was home, helping with the boys.)

I put the cinnamon rolls in the pan and start to clean up. I noticed my rings were gone but I had to move my phone and other things while kneading so I didn't think much of it.

Meanwhile, Bee and Chris and the dogs were upstairs playing on the bed. It sounded like elephants were marching.

I cleaned up everything, made icing and still no rings. I started to stress a bit but I didn't really looked anywhere but the kitchen so...

Long story, short....12 hours later, I had given up looking for my rings. Nicci, Chris and even Bee helped me look for my rings.

I asked Bee where my rings were. He opened up a cabinet with pots in it and says, "Too bad!" And closed the cabinet. (I busted a gut laughing at him. He is soo funny.)

So I went to bed and was pouting, looking at the wall and ceiling, when I noticed a shiny thing in our window sill.

(Now our windows in our room are darkened with foil, and blinds always closed because Chris doesn't sleep well. This helps a bit. Anyway, there's no reason for anything, including shiny things to be on the sill.)

I jumped out of bed and ran to the window.

MY RINGS!!!!!!

I punched Chris. "Why would you do that to me?? I cried. I wholeheartedly cried. I was going to go through the trash in the morning, with POOPY DIAPERS!!! YOU ARE A PUNK!!!!"

In the end, he pink promised he didn't do it.

Guess who that leaves in this house, that can reach the window sill???

Yup.

Bee.

So grounded!!

Bee

We were driving to Las Cruces and Bee had the sun in his sun.
Most people would ask for sunglasses.
Not Bee, "Bucket, Mommy, Plezz."
And this is what I got.
I love him.

Trying it out!

I used my scraps for this one. I wanted to try and see if I could make this pattern. For a first shot, I think it turned out great!
I wanna make a whole quilt of these but it will take a long time!!
It took me about 2 hours to do this one.

Chris' elk skin

We skinned Chris' elk before we took it to the butcher's. And when I say we, it was mostly Chris but I did touch and help a few times.
This is the underside of her backbone. No one I have talked to knows anything about the stripes. If you know anything, please share!!
It looks like a zebra.
Chris shot this elk on the last day, at sunset of his elk tag. He was pretty lucky to get her.

This is what was on my cutting board this morning.

I love being a mom to boys.

Auntie Kassie

Auntie Kassie came to visit in the beginning of September!! It was fun having her here. I believe this was driving home from the White Sands in Nicci's car.

Nicci's quilt

So Nicci is living with us. One day we noticed that her quilt was starting to come apart in some parts. This was my first quilt I ever made without my mom.
So I stippled all over it to make it strong and hopefully stay together better.
Bee wanted his picture taken

Bee's kisses

Bee has been a pill lately. I guess it comes with the age. Ugh.

BUT....

He is still a sweetheart. At least once a day, Bee will say, "Mommy hug."
And comes running to give me a hug.

There are times when he screams Mommy hug!!!!!! because he knows he is going to get into trouble. He thinks a hug will make it better. (It only works sometimes!)

Every day for nap, I put him to bed. I read him a book and then give him a hug. Then he kisses my cheek.

It's seriously so cute!!!

It's worth all the fighting we do during the day and the jelly slobbered cheek for that little kiss. Bee is still so stinking cute.

Daddy and boys

We went and got fish this weekend. I love the boy bonding time. Bee can help with almost everything with the fish so it's fun to watch the boys.

Aimee's quilt

This quilt is for my best friend in Marysville, Aimee. Her favorite colors are blue and yellow. I appliqued the sunflower on. The back is a bright blue. It's not perfect. (The back has a few folds) But I think it turned out pretty cute!

I've been wanting to make Aimee a quilt for a long time but just never had the funds or time. But I finally made it. It's not quite a queen size but it's a good size for a couch.

Aimee is a wonderful friend. She and I have been friends since 7th grade. I could always tell her anything. And still can. I don't ever have to be worried if she will judge me or not. She will love me no matter what. We had our first boys in the same year. I was in her wedding. I just love her with all my heart.

August Updates

Chris went hunting Sept 1 for his elk. He came home Sept 2 with kidney stones. Not a good start to hunting season!!!
Bee is still potty training and doing great!!! He does better without underwear on so this is Chris coming home for lunch and the boys eating together. SOOO stinking cute!
Glo bug helping with quilt blocks!
Quilt for V and Olivia (her doll)
Louie went to a new family this week. He was being ornery and honestly, we never saw him. He would hide upstairs until Bee went to bed and then only came out with the dogs were outside. So he now lives with a little girl in El Paso.
This is the top of the siggy quilt. When it's finished I'll blog more about it.
Glo bug helping with quilting again... he helps a lot.
I recovered my ironing board!! I love it!!!!
Blocks for Natalie....one of my bees
Bee called in the military for reinforcement of his new train tracks! I bought a huge bag at the thrift store on base for 10 bucks....they had no idea what they had.
I bought myself a sewing chair!!!! I love it. It's hot pink!
Another bee block!!

My first!!!

This is Erin's quilt. She was brave enough to let me quilt it for her!!!
This is the front! Didn't she do a great job??! She's going to make it into a Christmas tree skirt. That's why I quilted the stars.

This was really fun but scary too! It's totally different quilting on someone else's fabric!!
If you want a quilt, quilted.....let me know! I would love to start doing this!
